Since the ‘70s, Gerakini in Chalkidiki has always been a very popular summer destination for Northern Greece. The old buildings and the legendary hotel were transformed in 2015, to a 5 stars luxury all-inclusive resort from the construction company AKTOR S.A.

AS Automation System Hellas undertook the development and commissioning of the central building automation system BMS of the resort. Our automation solutions evolved around Siemens Desigo System, one of the most complete and efficient BMS systems in the world!

The central automation system controls among other ventilation and air-conditioning, decentralized hot water system for the bungalows and heated pools, outdoor lighting, fire detection, and fire safety, as well as water treatment.

AS Automation System Hellas completed the installation of the central building automation system BMS of the Ikos Olivia Resort in just 3 months from the assignment of the project! The resort opened in time for the summer of 2015 with 100% occupancy, top facilities and impeccable service.

The capital investment for Ikos Olivia resort exceeded EUR 50.000.000 and created 350 jobs. The area of Gerakini is benefiting by providing a tourist product with very high added value, that will create even more jobs over the long term.
